lively little town just 20 minutes from Zurich and Zurich
International Airport, Baden has been famous for its 19 spas and the
thermal baths they supply ever since Roman times. The one million
liters of water that bubble to the surface every day are 47°C hot
and have the highest mineral content of any springs in Switzerland.
In addition to its spa facilities, however, Baden also has a wide
range of arts and culture to offer. International festivals and the
Grand Casino are among the two highlights that definitely make it
worth a visit. And a stroll through the picturesque old town with
its historic buildings, watchtower and famous Tagsatzungssaal is
bound to be exciting no matter what the season. Baden’s dynamic
North End, meanwhile, having once been home to the town’s electrical
industry is rapidly turning into one of the trendiest parts of
town.
